Gut health is important for overall health. Approximately 70% of the body’s immune cells reside in the digestive tract, so a healthy gut can help protect us from inflammation and disease.

What are the factors that cause gastrointestinal diseases?

  • Eating unclean food, raw or undercook food, overnight food, or frozen food that has not been cooked properly.
  • Not chewing food thoroughly, ยูฟ่าเบท, eating too much food at each meal, eating spicy food, eating food that does not contain fiber.
  • Spicy Foods: Chili peppers contain capsaicin. Eating very spicy foods can irritate your digestive system.
  • Drinking alcohol, smoking.
  • Foods that are high in fat will slow down the digestive system, which may cause constipation.
  • Eating at irregular times can also contribute to digestive system diseases.
  • Lack of good public health, especially in terms of drinking water, water for use, consumption

Maintaining a healthy digestive system is not difficult. Basically, we can do this by choosing to eat healthy foods and changing our behaviors as follows:

  • Eat healthy foods that help strengthen the digestive system,  including: Foods that contain prebiotic fiber help stimulate the growth and activity of probiotic bacteria in the gut. Some foods that are rich in prebiotics include asparagus, bananas, garlic, onions, soybeans, and kidney beans.
  • You should drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. This is because 70 percent of our body is water. Water is very important for various systems, such as the lungs, liver, kidneys, and intestines. Water helps stimulate bowel movements and makes it easier to excrete waste products in various forms. 
  • Avoid consuming too much sugar and artificial sweeteners, as they can lead to an imbalance of microorganisms in your digestive tract (dysbiosis). When microorganisms in your digestive tract are imbalanc, you increase your risk of developing irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and central nervous system disorders.
  • Eat meals at the same time. Eating at the same time every day is something that many people may overlook because the stomach knows when it is working. If we eat at the same time repeatedly, digestive juices will come out at the same time every day. If digestive juices come out without food, it can cause ulcers in the stomach and intestines.
  • Exercise regularly. Exercise helps keep your weight in check. Being overweight or obese increases your risk of colon or rectal cancer.

What party people need to know is that drinking alcohol must be accompani by drinking an equal amount or more of water because getting drunk is a sign of severe dehydration.
