Water helps stimulate bowel movements and makes it easier to excrete waste products in various forms.
- Avoid consuming too much sugar and artificial sweeteners, as they can lead to an imbalance of microorganisms in your digestive tract (dysbiosis). When microorganisms in your digestive tract are imbalanc, you increase your risk of developing irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and central nervous system disorders.
- Eat meals at the same time. Eating at the same time every day is something that many people may overlook because the stomach knows when it is working. If we eat at the same time repeatedly, digestive juices will come out at the same time every day. If digestive juices come out without food, it can cause ulcers in the stomach and intestines.
- Exercise regularly. Exercise helps keep your weight in check. Being overweight or obese increases your risk of colon or rectal cancer.
