So I dropped the ball last week on My Everyday Life. That didn’t take long. My excuse (because you know there has to be one): #1 We were at the lake. #2 Baby Snob has been going through some sort of nighttime separation anxiety/sleep regression and I literally slept 4-5 a night for 6 nights straight. She’s a 10 p.m., 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. party girl. Ugh.
Anyways, here is what the past two weeks have looked like.
It’s been cool enough in the mornings to go for runs with the jogging stroller again. A summer off from running really helped me get out of shape. Let’s just say it was a humbling week on the exercise front.
I cooked like 4 pounds of carrots. I have lost my ability to eat raw carrots. Weird.
I also roasted eggplant. Baby Snob was a huge fan.
I saw this crane at the lake (it’s on top of the boat dock roof). It fascinated me because I had no idea birds like this existed in Missouri. Also of note, it rained a lot at the lake, so we did a lot of bird watching. Also, my friends are obsessed with their finch and hummingbird feeders. I think I aged 20 years at the lake.
I’m currently reading this for book club. So far, I am really enjoying it. I think she might convince me to love pie.
I did it. I got a mom haircut. I now why moms don’t have long hair – takes too long to dry/style and perfect for pulling.
I went to the antique mall in search of some cork placemats (anyone have some they want to sell me? They can have a design on them. I need a TON) and found this amazing cupcake coffee pot and sugar bowl.
Baby Snob loved this clean finger paint project. I had to tape it down so she wouldn’t try to eat it, but once she got over that, she couldn’t get enough.
I got crafty and did some fall decorating. I plan on doing a post about how I did the pumpkins.
Hope you have a great weekend!!
